Widely known as Michael Jordans favourite colourway, the Royal was the first Air Jordan 1 made available for purchase. In 1985 sports photographer Chuck Kohn froze in time the first ever imagine of Jordan wearing the Air Jordan 1, and it was a Royal. The only pair from the Top 3 Air Jordan 1 Retro colourways ('Chicago' & 'Banned') to never be worn on the court, since their initial release in 1985 the Royal has been dropped in 2001, 2013, and with the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Royal being released in 2017 the tradition continues. It's the shoe that started it all, Michael Jordan's favourite colourway, draped in history, as Icon as the man himself, and impossible not to fall in love with.
