Dropping in April 2019 as part of the On Air Collection which includes 6 shoes from 6 winning designers from around the world. The Air Max 1 OA Tokyo Maze is brought to us by Japanese designers Yuta Takuman and uses an ultra clean white base as a canvas in which to paint its black all over maze motif which is inspired by the dizzying urban labyrinth of colourful tube lines that shoot beneath Tokyo. Embossed leather represents the city’s concrete surface, while the red Air bubble pays homage to the iconic Tokyo Tower, completing the shoes trippy aesthetic. A pair of multicoloured laces give the shoe a look that’s made to turn heads for many years to come and it is clear for all to see why this design won Nike over.
