To say the newly released Clot x Air Max 1 Kiss of Death Cha has been brewing for a while, irrespective of how bad you think the pun is, remains a fundamentally true statement. Based on an original “K.O.D” sample from 2006, and representing CLOT founders Edison Chen and Kevin Poon’s attempt to navigate the pacific from the far east to the west coast. Adopting the Air Max 1 silhouette with a design centred around a brown-panelled upper, conceptually the “Cha” is inspired by one of the seven necessities of Chinese life, drinking tea, with multiple brown tones present across the entirety of the shoe representing the varying tones of the widely enjoyed beverage, only interrupted by a pair of Sport Red swoosh appearing in their traditional spot on both the lateral and medial side of each shoe respectively.
