Purple Punch is a more than appropriate nickname for the latest colourway for the DNA CH.1 variation on the classic Air Max 1. Dating back to 1987 the Air Max 1 definitely isn’t short of history but fast forward three decades and the silhouette is still finding new and innovative ways to stay relevant in an increasingly flooded scene. The DNA CH.1 “Purple Punch” is iconic for a lot of reasons, fore-mostly for it roots in the early ‘90s. As a tribute to the Air Huarache this second instalment of the Nike DNA Series, this Air Max 1 faithfully transplants the Huaraches’s white, black and purple ensemble palette onto this newly released ‘91 muse. The marquee hue adds of-the-era flair to many of the shoes upper elements and is a fitting tribute to its famous inspiration.
